I’m delighted to say the run will launch with an introduction from John Griffiths, MS.

I’m pleased to announce that The Bike Lock Cafe are hosting the run for us from their wonderful cafe in Cardiff City Centre, on Windsor Place.

I'd just like to extend a huge thanks to Bigmoose who have hosted in previous years and it's great to know that some of the Bigmoose team will be with us on the night.

Celebrate Pride Month and the start of the Pride Cymru weekend by coming with us for a chilled out, but loud and vibrant 5k run through Bute park.

• Run leaders will look after you and our course marshals will point you in the right direction. You can run fast or slow, there's no pressure. And we welcome walkers.
• You can dress loud if you want (we love it!), but if that's not your thing then our run caters for everyone - we just want you to come along and enjoy the run however you want to :-)
• After the run you'll be able to chill out at the Bike Lock with a cake and a drink (they have an awesome range to choose from, including booze!) and have a chat with your mates and other attendees.
• It’s not a race - do it speedy or take it chilled, most do, or walk it, and you’ll be supported the whole way. We also have a tail runner and a tail walker - no-one will be left behind.

We've had great fun previous years and I'm Proud to be able to put on the event each year for Pride Cymru.

Thank you in advance as well to our many volunteers on the day without whom we would not be able to put on the event, from many clubs, and of course to our hosts, the Bike Lock Cafe.

Timings and facilities.

The Bike Lock Cafe is just off Queens St, on Windsor Place, opposite central bar. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DIFFERENT LOCATION TO PREVIOUS YEARS.

Please arrive by 6.15pm ready for the run to actually start at 6.30pm.

There will be a bag drop and toilets at the cafe..

There is no parking available at the event - please check out the council website for parking options. I would personally consider parking around the museum area or Sophia Gardens: Cardiff Parking but there are also parking options at Dumfries place or the Capitol centre (the nearest).
