👋 People Leaders & Managers, HR, MHFA’s, EDI leads, Wellbeing teams, and Staff Network Leads… ever wondered how many people in your workforce have two jobs?

💡 With around three million people in the UK juggling paid work alongside caring for someone who is older, ill or disabled, it’s likely you already have working carers in your organisation — often at the peak of their careers.

💼 Retaining valued staff and keeping them engaged and productive makes good business sense — and that means creating a supportive workplace for everyone, including the growing number of employees who are, or will become, carers.

🤝 Carers Leeds can help. We facilitate a regular informal discussion forum for employers across Leeds to share ideas and best practice around how to identify, engage, support and retain working carers.

At this session we will cover:

💬 Learning from other employers about successes, challenges and solutions
🧭 Discovering how Carers Leeds supports employers (at no cost)

🎤 Hear from John Perryman, Head of Policy & Public Affairs at Carers UK talk about the latest research, The Tipping Point, which examines the factors that often lead employees to leave employment due to their caring responsibilities.  John will also provide information about the Government's recently launched consultation on employment rights for unpaid carers, and Carer's UK campaign to secure new statutory right to paid Carer's Leave.
