Take on the Carers Leeds Fire Walk

Are you ready to face the flames and do something unforgettable for unpaid carers?

Join us on Thursday 8 October at Mabgate Mills, the home of Carers Leeds, and walk barefoot across a bed of hot coals.

The Fire Walk is part of our 30th anniversary celebrations and our ‘30 Things for 30 Years’ fundraising challenge. It will be led by the experienced Fire Walk UK team, who will provide a full safety briefing before you take part.

Arrival and briefing: 6pm
Fire Walk begins: 7pm
Finish: approximately 8pm

Ticket: £40 per participant

Raise money for unpaid carers

Your £40 ticket helps cover the cost of running the Fire Walk. We also encourage every participant to raise at least £100 for Carers Leeds by asking friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them.

Every donation will help Carers Leeds continue providing vital information, advice and support to unpaid carers across the city.

What to expect

Firewalking involves walking barefoot across a bed of hot coals. Before taking part, you will receive a full briefing from Fire Walk UK on how to complete the challenge safely.

There is no strenuous physical exercise involved. If you can walk normally, you should be able to complete the Fire Walk. If you have any concerns about taking part, please consult your GP before booking.

Casual, comfortable clothes are best. Fires can be dirty, so please wear something you do not mind getting ash-stained.

Fire Walk UK requires participants to complete the relevant consent and waiver forms. We will contact you closer to the event with everything you need to read and sign.

Who can take part?

The minimum age is 11. Anyone under 18 will require consent from a parent or guardian.

Tickets are transferable but non-refundable.

Bring your supporters

Friends, family and colleagues are encouraged to come along and cheer you on. This will be a community event, with food and drink available to buy, alongside other attractions and fundraising activities.
