Her Outdoors - Kayak adventure

Join the adventure by taking part in a full day, women only, Kayaking trip as part of Sport Ireland’s HER Outdoors campaign 2025. Carlow Sports Partnership are delighted to once again partner with Pure Adventure to run our annual full day kayaking trip. Take this opportunity to meander at a leisurely pace down the River Barrow, stop for a picnic and chase some thrills as you experience weirs and rapids from a different perspective. It really is the best way to experience the River Barrow.

The details of the trip are as follows:
Date: Thursday 14th August 2025
Time: 10:00am – 3:30pm (approx)
Journey: Goresbridge to Graiguenamanagh
Cost: €20.00 per person

Participant Requirements:
- No kayaking experience required, but you must be comfortable in water
- You must be 18 or over on the day of the event
- You must wear clothes that you don’t mind getting wet
- You must bring a packed lunch, a towel, water, spare clothes & sun cream
- You must provide your own form of transportation for drop off to collection points

- Participants may wish to organise a carpool - one car at the end of the journey and one at the beginning.

Important Notice: There will be a vetted Carlow Sports Partnership Photographer onsite at this event. All images and materials may be used by Carlow Sports Partnership, Carlow County Council and Sport Ireland. If you do not wish to be in any images, please let the photographer or a member of staff know on site.

Please note that though we make every effort to accommodate as many participants as possible there is a maximum of 20 places available.
