Her Outdoors - Introduction to Stand Up PaddleBoarding (SUP)

Event Description

Take a walk on the wild side by experiencing Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) on the River Barrow. Take this opportunity to dip your toe in the water, hopefully not your full body and try out SUP.

Date: Thursday 12th August 2026
Time: 10:30am – 1:30pm (approx)
Location: Carlow Town Park- River Barrow
Cost: €15.00 per person + €1 Booking Fee

Participant Requirements:

• No SUP experience required, but you must be comfortable in water.
• This event is for Women and Teenage Girls 13+.
• You must wear clothes that you don’t mind getting wet. Sliders are not practical but please wear footwear on the boards.
• You must bring a towel, water, & sun cream.
• You must provide your own form of transportation for drop off to collection points
• Participants may wish to organize a carpool - one car at the end of the journey and one at the beginning. Transport will not be provided from one location to the other.

Though we make every effort to accommodate as many participants as possible there is a maximum of 16 places available.
Please note: 48 hours cancellation notice must be given, otherwise Active Carlow cannot guarantee a refund on ticket purchases.
