South of Polaris are an award-winning alt-folk duo where folk storytelling meets the fire and passion of southern Spanish flamenco.

Danii Reales (vocals, violin) and Saúl Díaz (electro-classical guitar) combine heartfelt, relatable lyrics with soaring vocals, evocative violin and flamenco-inspired guitar. Featured on BBC Introducing, they are rising voices on the UK folk scene. Rooted in two rural traditions shaped by community and story, their music feels both familiar and fresh – an uplifting, genre-crossing sound that captivates audiences wherever they perform.
