A guided walk by Bristol’s Cary Comes Home Festival - a weekend long celebration of the life and career of Hollywood star & style icon Cary Grant (born and raised in the city as Archie Leach and who always kept in touch with his roots).
Start: 3.30-5pm
Venue: Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TA
Meet in the foyer of The Royal Marriott Hotel at 3.15 - the walk will start promptly at 3.30pm - this gentle walk is wheelchair accessible (but not suitable for electric scooters), with no big climbs, and includes a brief trip on the cross-harbour ferry, ending back at the Marriott with tea/coffee and cookies. Your knowledgable guide will shine a new light on Bristol places closely associated with the boy and man, ends 5pm approx.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WALK WILL NOT END IN TIME FOR YOU TO GET TO THE "Cary Grant in Bristol" AFTERNOON TEA AT AVON GORGE.

The Cary Comes Home Festival aims to celebrate Cary Grant’s Bristol roots, develop new audiences for his work and recreate the golden age of cinema-going.
This screening is in honour of Bristol’s recent designation as a UNESCO City of Film, in recognition of the city’s vibrant screen heritage, of which Cary Grant is one of our brightest stars.
