Seussical: The Musical

CastBound Studios reimagines Seussical through the lens of the 1920s, a world divided between glittering excess and those struggling to be seen. The Jungle of Nool becomes a lively nightclub, a place of influence, hierarchy, and control, where entertainment, status, and authority shape what people choose to believe.

Amid the music and movement, Horton, a quiet maintenance worker, stumbles upon something extraordinary: a tiny world hidden on a speck of dust. That world is Whoville, a community living on the margins, overlooked and dismissed because they are small, poor, and easy to ignore. At its center is JoJo, a curious child whose imagination and questions continually get him into trouble in a society that discourages thinking differently.

As Horton chooses to protect what others refuse to acknowledge, tensions rise between those who benefit from the way things are and those fighting to be heard. Blending jazz-age energy with Dr. Seuss’s signature whimsy, this production explores imagination, individuality, and the courage to stand up for others, reminding us that every voice matters, no matter how small.
