Weave your own basket out of willow.
Join our expert Coppincing Suz for a day of learning how to make your own willow basket.
Suz is an experienced coppicer, working with wood in a sustainable and historic way which promotes habitats for nature and keeps heritage crafts alive for all. She advocates for the positive mental health benefits of working outside and in woodlands.
Join Suz to learn the heritage craft of willow weaving: also a great mindfulness tool to help focus the attention on something other than the concerns of our daily lives.
You will work with sustainably sourced bark-on willow to make a basket large enough for foraging, picnicking or carrying crafting kits! Suitable for re-enactment living history items.
This is a one- day course available on Sunday 4th October only. 10am to 3pm approximately.
