Castles In The Sky Presents : OUT & BROWN

We are delighted to collaborate with the lovely folks at OUT & BROWN to host their first ever Bradford Open Mic and it's extra special as this is also their first open mic focused on platforming QTPOC artists!

If you're an LGBTQ+ person of colour who is a musician, comedian, poet, performer, storyteller or any other type of artist that could do with a live audience to share work in front of then this event is for you!

OUT & Brown will be hosted by the incredible Zee Y, a poet, comedian and all around star and one of the founders of OUT & LOUD!

Please note OUT & BROWN is a dry event. Soft drinks, hot drinks and snacks will be available to purchase.

This event is part of our 'Castles In The Sky Presents' programme supported by Marlborough Productions with funding from Arts Council England and Esmee Fairbairn Founation.

Performers are asked to provide some information about technical requirements and what you'd like to share. The host also asks that you provide any content warnings if appropriate. 

Audience 

Everyone is welcome to come along and support by purchasing audience/ supporter tickets, white allies included. Please be mindful that this is a space designed to uplift and centre people of colour. We ask everyone to be aware of their own privilige whilst navigating the space.

Access

Common Space is a step free venue with wheelchair access including a ramp to the stage. 

There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the ground floor as well as baby changing facilities. 

The ground floor also houses a quiet space and prayer room facilities. We use air purifiers in the space and mask wearing is supported although not compulsory.
