About

Join us to mark the close of the Catchment Festival with an evening celebrating the stories, memories and producers that shape the Leven Catchment.

We will open with the first screening of a documentary filmed on the day itself, capturing the moments, conversations and perspectives that unfolded across the many events held that day as part of the Festival, from farmers' stories at breakfast, to a dawn bird walk, to creative sessions exploring the future of the catchment together.

Two artists will then share newly developed work, responding to the themes that have emerged through months of engagement with the catchment community: what it means to belong to a shared landscape, and the memories and perspectives that shape it. Alongside this, an exhibition of photographs by young people from a local high school will offer a glimpse of the catchment through their eyes, and recorded oral histories will bring together the voices of older residents and farmers from across the generations and the land.

The evening will close with a two-course supper, cooked using ingredients sourced exclusively from farmers and producers across the catchment - as well as a chance to better get to know who some of them are.

This event is free.

We are delighted to be gathering at 252 Memorial Hall in its 100th year. Join us at the Memorial Hall from 4.00–6.00pm for the Catchment Assembly, the last event of the day before the evening gathering - an open public assembly bringing together communities, organisations and stakeholders to reflect on the catchment and our vision for its future. About the Catchment Festival

This event is part of the 'Catchment Festival: A Day Along the Leven Catchment'. From dawn til dusk on the 17th October, you can join us for a day of walks, food, art, ecology, stories and conversations celebrating the landscape shaped by water and the people who call it home. Beginning as the landscape wakes and ending around a shared table, the Catchment Festival invites you to slow down, listen, explore, create, eat and imagine the future of the catchment together.
