About

Drop by Pinkfoot Café for a relaxed morning as we open pinhole cameras that have spent the past thirty days quietly recording the movement of the sun across the Leven Catchment. Installed both across the landscape, each camera has been gathering light in silence, and today those hidden images are revealed for the first time.

Over a free coffee from Pinkfoot Café, watch the reveal unfold and hear more about the Catchment Festival and the wider work happening across the catchment throughout the day. There is no set programme to follow: this is a small, informal gathering, so come along, take a seat, and stay for as long as suits you.

This event is free. There is no need to pre-book a ticket, though if you know you are coming, it is always helpful for us to get a sense of numbers.

Want to make a morning of it? This event sits between two other Catchment Festival happenings, and you are welcome to join either or both:

  • Beforehand, join our guided early morning bird walk at Loch Leven National Nature Reserve, starting at 7am.
  • From 9am, come along to a breakfast with locally sourced produce at a farmer's field ten minutes away with views over the Loch.

Learn more about both happening here: tickettailor.com/events/catchmentcollective

About the Catchment Festival

From dawn til dusk on the 17th October, you can join us for the Catchment Festival - a day of walks, food, art, ecology, stories and conversations celebrating the landscape shaped by water and the people who call it home. Beginning as the landscape wakes and ending around a shared table, the Catchment Festival invites you to slow down, listen, explore, create, eat and imagine the future of the catchment together.
