Meet the Cows: Conservation at Work / Cwrdd â’r Gwartheg: Cadwraeth ar Waith

Join Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales to learn more about the role of livestock in managing grassland for the benefit of biodiversity.  We will take an introductory walk through Peace Park, a RCT Council Living Landscapes site being managed as a meadow, before entering into the Wildlife Trust Reserve and meeting the cows, who help us look after our nature reserve. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the nature found on our doorstep and the different approaches taken in looking after our wildlife areas.

The site is accessible from Fernhill Train Station and for details on local buses, visit Stagecoach Buses  for details on the 25, 60 and 61 buses - use the footbridge to cross straight over the railway.  There is no designed parking for the park but there may be some informal parking in the nearby residential area (please be considerate to local residents).

This event is being run by Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, in collaboration with Rhondda Cynon Taf Local Nature Partnership, as part of the RCT Living Landscapes Events Programme.
