Ready to move from prototype to product? Join us to explore the key steps, risks, and decisions involved in scaling your innovation to commercial readiness.

Many startups develop promising technologies or functional prototypes but face challenges when moving toward commercial application. Scaling a product means more than refining the design — it involves making decisions about manufacturability, supply chain, compliance, and long-term quality.

Common questions at this stage include for example:

  • How can the product be manufactured reliably and at scale?
  • What should we pay attention to when looking for a partner to build the pilot plant ?
  • What standards or certifications need to be met, when to invest resources on these topics ?
  • Which parts should be developed in-house, and which can be sourced externally?
  • How do you ensure product quality across many units or systems?

Experts from Helbling will provide input on the different phases and corresponding challenges and risks of product development, followed by an interactive workshop. You will be able to choose from 3 breakout sessions to best fit your needs:

  1. From lab-scale process to commercial plant
  2. From proof-of-concept to manufacturing
  3. From prototype to industrialization for mass production

Participants will get

  • Ability to elaborate a roadmap for scaling from prototype to commercial readiness
  • Insights on scale-up risks and mitigation measures
  • Realistic expectations for timelines and resource needs

This workshop is offered by Helbling and supported by the CDR Innovation Booster, Robotics Innovation Booster, and CBI Booster.
