** Registration closes soon: Thursday 13.11.25 at 9.00am**
This course will be valuable for trainees in paediatric oncology, trainees in general paediatrics and other specialties which are involved in the management of medulloblastoma and related tumours, for example clinical oncology and paediatric neurosurgery, clinical nurse specialists and clinical trials staff. It will also be of value for consultants in shared care paediatrics and paediatric oncology, and a range of other specialties requiring CPD in this area.

Learning objectives:

At the end of the course, participants will have a good overview of the various subtypes of medulloblastoma and other embryonal CNS tumours, the importance of pathology, biology and imaging in assigning a risk category to guide the treatment strategy and inform prognosis, the different contributions of all members of the multi-disciplinary team, and the range of treatments used in the first line management of medulloblastoma, and relapsed disease. Additionally, attendees will understand the evidence base underlying current treatments, and the critical importance of international cooperation and clinical trials in improving the prospects for cure, and in diminishing the toxicity of treatment. Supportive care, neuro-rehabilitation and late effects of treatment are also covered.

Course structure:

This is a two-day course. It comprises a series of interactive talks from experts in different aspects of medulloblastoma, with case discussions to ensure that the content is related to clinical patient management. The oral sections will be supplemented by written information, and pointers to further learning. The residential option will allow participants to interact informally with the faculty in the evening, to learn more.
