Invasive Species on your Doorstep - Talk & Discussion

To mark Invasive Species Week 2025, learn about invasive species and how to prevent their spread with Ann Haigh, Invasive Species Officer at the National Biodiversity Data Centre. 

This talk will cover: 

• The background and harm caused by invasive species.
• How to identify and record invasive species to improve data in Ireland. 
• Invasive species at imminent threat of arrival and how to report them to encourage a rapid response. 
• How to prevent invasive species spread through biosecurity and careful gardening.
