Head on a foraging walk with Helen (@ofthe.moonandstars) to find medicinal plants that can support our health over the wintery months, pick herbs together with the group from our wild hedgerows and the community apothecary garden, learning and sharing along the way. Head back to the space to prepare the gathered medicines into customised blends that best support your/your family's health.
A fire cider tonic is an immune-boosting folk medicine created by the amazing herbalist Rosemary Gladstar. It’s a potent alcohol-free remedy, made with apple cider vinegar infused with many herbs.
As the weather begins to cool and dampen, and the kids go back to school we see more coughs, colds and wintery illnesses. Herbal medicine and fire cider tonics are so beneficial for these sorts of issues! It can be taken daily as a preventative tonic in shots, drinks and food, or as a helpful medicine when the beginnings of illness appear.
Fire cider is suitable for the whole family - children and adults!
Please bring: 1 clean jar (approx 500ml - an old jam jar or passata jar is perfect). And a notepad if you wish to take notes.
Please wear: suitable clothing - we will be foraging outside!
If you forget a jar, Helen will have some with her for around €5.
Helen will also have some medicinal plants and seeds to take home too - for free or a donation!
All ingredients provided - locally grown/foraged, pesticide & chemical free, or imported organic.
