FORESTCARBOVISION Stakeholder Meeting - Exploring Forest Carbon Farming in West Cork

Join us for an introduction to FORESTCARBOVISION, an international initiative exploring how forests and woodlands can help address climate change through sustainable carbon farming.

The project focuses on developing and implementing sustainable forest and woodland carbon farming technologies to help manage forests more effectively and support climate action. Together with partners in Finland and Iceland, we're exploring how forests and woodlands across the North Atlantic can play a stronger role in storing carbon and building climate resilience. The project combines AI, laser scanning, and digital twin technologies to measure forest carbon storage with precision and transparency - empowering communities to participate in the emerging carbon farming economy while ensuring sustainability and trust.

Green Skibbereen is proud to act as the Irish partner in this three-year project, leading community engagement and outreach across Cork and the wider region.
