Since February 2003, the ceilidh collective has been organising events and raising unrestricted funds for social and environmental charities and grassroots organisations.
100% of profits from the door and bar, any food (after event costs) and 100% of raffle and any auction funds go to the beneficiary (charity or grassroots organisation) that we are supporting that night.
We work by bringing together wonderful volunteers to manage the running of the ceilidhs, from decorating the venues, to feeding the volunteers, to staffing the door and the bar, and the tidy up and recycling efforts. It is only with this voluntary support over many years, that we are able to continue. All work on the day of the event is carried out without financial remuneration for anyone bar the main band.
