Online, MS Teams
Description
About the webinar
Lifelong Links is an innovative approach developed by Family Rights Group (FRG) to support children and young people in care by helping them to connect and reconnect with people important to them and build stable, supportive networks around them during their time in care and as they transition to adulthood.
Join us to hear about the evaluation of Lifelong Links in Scotland. This webinar will explore how Lifelong Links worked during the five-year trial in Scotland (2018-2023) across three local authorities, the learning, challenges and opportunities of this approach and will consider the factors influencing long-term sustainability of this work.
Attendees will hear about Lifelong Links from Family Rights Group's Chief Executive, Cathy Ashley, Family Rights Group consultant, Paul Reddiex, and Head of Programmes, Lucy Hutchinson, and from Dr Nadine Fowler, Research Associate and Dr Robert Porter, Research Lead, at CELCIS, the Centre for Excellence for Children’s Care and Protection, about the research into how Lifelong Links worked to build lasting relationships for children and young people in care in Scotland and the impact the trial has had.
We’ll gain insight from a young person’s personal story, where we'll hear about the impact Lifelong Links has had on their life and the crucial role these lasting relationships played in their journey.
