Join us as we revisit behaviour and conduct management in formal council meetings. Supported by the Local Government Association, this session aims to tackle where and how positive, and negative, behaviour can enhance and detract from the effectiveness and inclusivity of council meetings.

It will cover:

  • Civility in Council Proceedings: strategies for ensuring that debate in council meetings (especially Full Council) is constructive, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Tolerance as a Pillar of Governance: the role of tolerance in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment within council meetings, fostering a culture of understanding and acceptance.
  • Revisiting Behaviour and Conduct Management: equipping participants with practical tools for maintaining order and promoting good conduct.

For any late registrations after Friday 15 March, please email mel.stevens@cfgs.org.uk for details of the event link
