Meet The Media Glasgow 2026

Join us for Meet The Media Glasgow 2026, a unique opportunity for Muslim organisations and youth to meet with editors and journalists, exchange perspectives and hold the media to account on how they report on Muslims and Islam. Representatives from The National, The Daily Record and more will be there to answer your questions.

The event will begin with a panel discussion, followed by an interactive Q&A with the audience.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Discuss the portrayal and coverage of Muslims in Scottish media

• Encourage transparency, accountability, and practical steps towards improved representation

• Provide a safe space for community voices to be heard directly by journalists and editors

• Facilitate networking and relationship building between the media and Scottish Muslims to help change the narrative

• Inspire young people to pursue journalism and offer guidance and insights on career pathways
