The Party with Purpose: CSI's 20th Anniversary Fundraiser

A first-of-its-kind fundraising event, bringing together Toronto’s biggest movers and shakers in the social innovation space.  

CSI is incredibly proud of our legacy so far - 6,000+ members putting people and planet first - and we know that we have so much more to do. Together, we have achieved so much over these last two decades—transforming systems, building businesses, and making tough decisions, all while cultivating joy, purpose, and belonging in this magical community.  

We’ve got big dreams for our future, but as we prepare for another 20 years together, we have to acknowledge that we are struggling in these current difficult economic conditions. Like many others, we’re facing challenges with the existing market forces, inflation, and high interest rates. If we can bridge the $500K gap we’re currently facing, we’ll be sailing smoothly and well positioned to build a solid foundation for the next 20 years.

We’ve got a larger campaign in place, but the kickoff will be our first ever fundraising party, shaping up to be Toronto’s biggest social impact event of the season! Join the CSI community, alumni, impact leaders, and local changemakers for an unforgettable evening of collaboration, networking, fun, and future visioning in a multi-level experience at CSI Spadina.

What’s happening in the space?

Activities:

• DIY Screen Printing & Games Arcade: Bring your own t-shirt and try your hand at screen printing some second hand merch, thanks to Community Sponsors Toronto Tool Library and T.O. The Good Swap! Plus, play some mini arcade games and tour the Toronto Tool Library.
• Fundraising Lounge: Stop by to donate to CSI, purchase some merch, pre-order your yearbook, and more!
• Community Activations: Map your 6 Degrees of Connections, find your puzzle match, and share your experience of “how change happens”!
• CCFE Solutions Salon: Visit the newly renovated Solutions Salon, sponsored by the Canadian Centre for Food & Ecology and The Depanneur! Learn about upcoming events and workshops, and enjoy refreshments from local chefs.
• Bar: Grab a drink (cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine) and some snacks in the community kitchen. Be sure to try our exclusive 20th Anniversary Speciality Cocktail!

• Whatever Happened To You?: Hear the stories of CSI Alumni from the past two decades! Running until 6:30, we’ll hear from alumni all across the country and get a sense of what they’ve been up to.
• Live Music & Art: We’re thrilled to present local artists, musicians, and dancers as part of the evening, thanks to our Talent Sponsor FLARE: Financial Leadership for Artists & Rising entrepreneurs!
• Town Hall: Head down to the main floor stage for our Town Hall at 7:30 PM, featuring CSI CEO, Tonya Surman, and a few special guests!
