Dr Clare Pettinger Biography
Clare Pettinger is an award-winning registered dietitian, public health nutritionist and Associate Professor at the University of Plymouth. She is actively engaged in creative community research around food systems, poverty and social justice. She collaborates nationally and internationally to support sustainability in dietetic and AHP education and practice. Clare delivered the prestigious UK British Dietetic Association Elsie Widdowson lecture in 2022 and won the Caroline Walker Trust lecturer of the year (sustainable food) in 2023. She is lead (Plymouth) for a national ‘Transformation the UK Food System’ consortium research project ‘Food Systems Equality: co-production of healthy and sustainable food systems for disadvantaged communities’
