This webinar explores the role of reusable medical textiles as an environmentally-conscious and sustainable alternative to single use surgical items such as drapes, gowns and masks. We have two invited speakers who are going to discuss their use and the impact this could have on patient care, finances and the NHS goal of reaching net zero.

The first speaker is Tom Dawson, the founder of Revolution Zero – an organisation working with the NHS to provide reusable textiles and decontamination services at trusts across the UK. Our second speaker is from the University of Birmingham Green Surgery academic team – they will outline their upcoming DRAGON trial, a multi-centre randomised non-inferiority trial assessing reusable versus single-use drapes and gowns in theatre.

Following the two speaker presentations there will be time for a short Q&A session.
