Investing in Europe’s Cross-Border Infrastructure
Need help?
As the European Commission advances its EU Grid Action Plan, questions around how to allocate the costs of cross-border energy infrastructure and unlock necessary investments are becoming increasingly central. To discuss this further, CERRE invites you to join a public webinar on 24 June from 13:00-14:30 CET on “Investing in Europe’s Cross-Border Infrastructure”.
The event will open with a keynote on “The European Grid Package: Building the backbone of Europe’s competitiveness and green transition”, and feature a presentation of CERRE’s report on “Cross-Border Cost Allocation for Transmission Networks”, co-authored by Prof Bert Willems, CERRE Research Fellow and Professor of Economics at the Université catholique de Louvain, Dr Christine Brandstätt, Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure, Prof Chloé Le Coq, CERRE Research Fellow and University Paris Panthéon-Assas and Dr. Ceciel Niewenhout (University of Groningen).
The event will close with a high-level panel discussion on “Financing and allocating costs for cross-border networks” from 13:35 to 14:40 CET bringing together industry experts and regulators.
