Artificial intelligence has created massive disruption in the digital sphere. From upheaval in established tech sectors like cloud computing to the emergence of new services such as AI agents, these rapid changes are forcing firms, consumers, regulators and governments to adapt quickly. As AI will be an important driver of productivity growth across many different sectors of the economy, European policymakers face difficult questions: Will markets in these sectors remain competitive? And is the EU’s digital rulebook fit for purpose?

CERRE’s AI Agents Ecosystems Contestability and AI, Cloud and Competition projects tackle these cutting-edge issues. They provide an in-depth examination of the competitive dynamics of the sector and concrete guidance for policy makers.

Join us online on 3 July as recommendations from both projects are presented alongside panel discussions featuring representatives from European institutions, national regulators, industry players, and the CERRE academic team. To find out more about CERRE’s research on AI and the Digital Markets Act more generally, see our recently published research.
