The Ontario Certified Crop Advisor Association (CCA) and Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA) have partnered to deliver training and educational resources to Ontario agrologists. With a focus on cover crops, nitrogen management, and rotational grazing, these sessions will support the objectives of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund.
Joshua Nasielski is a professor of field crop agronomy at the University of Guelph and holds the MacSon Professorship in agronomy for eastern and northern Ontario. His research is based out of the Winchester Agricultural Research Station.
This webinar focusses on optimizing in-season nitrogen rate adjustments in corn production. Agricultural advisors will learn how to leverage weather patterns, soil characteristics, and 4R nutrient stewardship to fine-tune late-season nitrogen applications while minimizing volatilization risks. Discover data-driven strategies to help growers maximize profitability and maintain environmental resilience through smart, adaptable rate decisions.
Funding for this project has been provided by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the Agricultural Climate Solutions (ACS) – On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF). This event is free to attend. To register you must answer two questions for the purpose of tracking attendance and outreach.
