You are warmly invited to join us for a special evening on 7th November 2024 at the Pine Beach Bar and Devas Lounge at the Intercontinental Phuket Resort, where we will embark on a journey of “An Evening of Elegance: A Wine Journey Across the Old World with a Surprising Finish.”

This month, we are excited to host another OMGD event. Since OMGD gatherings have a more casual and unique format, we've planned something entirely new for this occasion.

We'll begin at 5:45 PM at PINE Beach Bar, where we can take in the stunning sunset at Kamala Beach while enjoying two exceptional sparkling wines. First, a top-tier Prosecco from the renowned house of Allegrini, famous for their Amarone, and second, Champagne de Venoge's classic Cordon Bleu Brut, a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir in equal parts. Two bespoke canapés will accompany these delightful sparklers.

Around 7 PM, we'll move indoors to the elegant, air-conditioned Devas Lounge. There, we'll mingle and enjoy a short interlude with a beautiful Lugana from the Lake Garda region, a classic Bourgogne Chardonnay, and a refreshing Sancerre Rosé from acclaimed winemaker Pascal Jolivet.

At approximately 8 PM, we will all sit down for a four-course dinner (at Devas Lounge), specially designed to pair perfectly with the wines. The selection will feature a German Riesling, a Burgundy Pinot Noir, a Bordeaux red, and, as a finale, two remarkable dessert wines—one from Hungary and the other from Australia. After a more traditional Old World start, we'll conclude with a distinctly New World flair.

Explore the diverse terroirs through these exquisite wines:

• Volcanic Terroir: The bold and expressive Royal Tokaji Szamarodni 2018 from Hungary and the distinguished Gevrey Chambertin En Champs 2013 from the volcanic soils of Burgundy, France.

• Maritime Influence: The fresh and lively Pascal Jolivet Attitude Rosé from the Loire Valley and the elegant Ca dei Frati Lugana from the shores of Lake Garda, Italy, both shaped by the cooling breezes of their coastal environments.

• Mountainous Terroir: The crisp and mineral-driven Dr. Bürklin Wolf Estate Riesling Dry 2022 from the mountainous regions of Germany, alongside the rich and structured Second de Pez 2019 from the slopes of St.Estephe, France.

Each wine tells the story of its origin, with its flavors and aromas deeply influenced by the natural elements that surround it. Join us as we uncover these stories and celebrate the passion and artistry that go into every bottle.
