Supporting our children and young people in a time of climate change
How can we talk with children and young people about climate change without making things worse?
What is climate anxiety and how do we best respond to it and offer support?
Understanding and supporting climate anxiety and other emotions
How do we grow our children’s deep resilience to face an uncertain future?
This talk is for all adults who care for and about children and who would like to understand how to raise truly resilient children who are equipped to deal with the challenges they face.
The evening will start with a presentation from Jo McAndrews who is a mother, a parenting coach and educator with a background in psychotherapy with children and young people. She works with parents and professionals in growing our capacity to stand up for our children and young people’s needs for care in these urgent times.
7pm to 8pm Jo will share information and practical tools for robust support of our children and young people
After a tea break you are invited to stay for more discussion and sharing of ideas arising from the talk.
