Guildford Jazz and Challengers are delighted to announce that the Wood Street Jazz Festival is back for another year in 2023! On Sunday 16th July we will be welcoming you to an afternoon of world-class Jazz on the Wood Street Village Green.
If you fancy a day out with amazing live music, please come and join us from 12.30pm-5.30pm.
Music features leading UK Jazz artists, including “1960’s Soul Jazz- The music of Horace Silver and the Adderley Brothers” with the Peter Long and Ryan Quigley Quintet and of course the Somethin' Else Big Band to open the afternoon on the main stage, plus support acts featuring up and coming local talented jazz musicians.
Thanks to the generosity of Shahin Restaurant, you can pre-order food again this year with a choice of chicken tikka masala or vegetable tikka masala both with sag bhaji, onion bhaji, pilau rice, naan bread & pickles.
Every penny raised from the day goes directly to Challengers, helping us continue to break down the barriers to play for local disabled children and their families. Thank you very much for your continued support, we look forward to you joining us for an afternoon of Jazz on the green.
If you would like to generously sponsor our Jazz Festival, please contact Helena (helenaburke@disability-challengers.org).
