Few works capture the spirit of the season and the majesty of choral music like Handel’s Messiah. From the intimate beauty of “Comfort ye” to the blazing triumph of the “Hallelujah” Chorus, this masterpiece has inspired audiences for nearly three centuries with its drama, devotion, and sheer musical splendour. Handel weaves together soloists, chorus, and orchestra in a work that is both deeply human and profoundly uplifting—a timeless journey from prophecy to celebration. Whether a treasured annual tradition or a first encounter, Messiah remains one of the most powerful and unifying experiences in all of classical music. Following the outstanding success of their 2024 joint Christmas Concert, the Choir of St Cuthbert's Church and ChamberMusicBox reunite for this performance, joined by four exceptional young soloists under the direction of Quintin Beer, for whom this concert marks his final appearance as Director of Music at St Cuthbert's.
Come and experience truly world-class music-making in the heart of Earl's Court and enjoy a free festive drink, kindly provided by TLC Estate Agents.
