Subtle Connections Across the World - Vadym Kholodenko and Friends

A 2013 Van Cliburn Gold Medalist and a Fort Worth favorite, Vadym Kholodenko combines fierce pianism, an unrivalled breadth of repertoire, and a level of interpretative refinement that ascends to the realms of poetry. 

Joining Mr. Kholodenko for this highly anticipated performance are CMSFW Artistic Director Gary Levinson, violin, and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra musicians Jennifer Betz, violin; D.J. Cheek, viola; and Allan Steele, cello.

Program includes:

• Johannes Brahms — Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Major, Op. 78
• Edward Green — Trio for Strings (World Premiere)
• Cesar Franck — Piano Quintet in F Minor

The multimedia pre-concert presentation begins at 1:15 p.m. Mr. Levinson offers context and insight to the program’s composers and music, including the world premiere of Edward Green’s Trio for Strings: A Drama in Two Acts.
