Sat Mar 13, 2027 1:15 PM - 4:00 PM CST Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, 76107

This double dose of Beethoven features the Septet in E-flat Major for winds and strings, one of his most popular works. Featured performers include Gary Levinson, violin; and Michael Klotz, viola.

"It’s a piece that has a lot to offer both in enjoyment and insight, and on whatever level or in whatever way you decide to approach it, it has something that should tickle your fancy" (fugueforthought.de).

Program includes:

  • Ludwig van Beethoven — String Trio in G Major, Op. 9, No. 1
  • Paul Hindemith — Kleine Kammermusik, for wind quintet, Op. 24, No. 2
  • Ludwig van Beethoven — Septet in E-flat Major for Winds and Strings, Op. 20

Artists or program may be subject to change.

The multimedia Pre-Concert Conversation starts at 1:15 p.m. as Gary Levinson, CMSFW artistic director, adds insights about the composers and music.

The concert begins at 2:00 p.m.
