Homage to Great Artists — Rosamunde String Quartet

"If you were assembling an all-star chamber group, you couldn’t do much better than the Rosamunde String Quartet... The ensemble has a uniformly rich sound from top to bottom" (clevelandclassical.com). By uniting their experiences as internationally touring soloists and orchestra musicians — with the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Berlin Philharmonic — they create a distinctive sound and unanimity of expression.

Program includes:

• George Walker — String Quartet No. 1
• Claude Debussy — String Quartet in G Minor, Op. 10 (L. 91)
• Ludwig van Beethoven — String Quartet No. 15 in A Minor, Op. 132

The multimedia Pre-Concert Conversation starts at 1:15 p.m. as Gary Levinson, CMSFW artistic director, adds insights about the composers and music.

The concert begins at 2:00 p.m.
