CMSFW Family Concert Series "Hansel & Gretel"

Also featuring Maurice Ravel's Mother Goose

Renzo Piano Pavilion Auditorium, Kimbell Art Museum

11 a.m. Concert — one hour, no intermission

What to Expect:

• A Storytelling Ensemble: Our special guest narrator and virtuosic woodwind quintet craft breadcrumb trails to musical adventures, bringing to life the timeless tales of "Hansel & Gretel" and Mother Goose.
• Acclaimed Art Contest: Our student art contest provides larger-than-life images that weave a captivating visual story, matching the musical score. Art contest guidelines will be available soon.
• Up-Close Encounters: Before the concert, our musicians give kids inspiring, up-close looks at how their instruments work.

Experience the magic of live music with the 2026-27 season of the CMSFW Family Concert Series. These unique, one-hour performances with no intermissions go far beyond traditional concerts, bringing music to life through dynamic storytelling, fun costumes, and immersive audiovisuals.

Join us before the performances for interactive activities. Musicians offer hands-on instrument demonstrations, mini-performances, and Q&A sessions. Kids get an up-close look at how music is made, inspiring them to pick up an instrument, sing in a choir, or join a school band.

Discover how music tells a story. Get your tickets for this imaginative adventure!
