Chance 4 Children (C4C) is a humanitarian non-governmental organization operating in the Czech Republic and Slovakia since 1996. It is a duly registered association and focuses its attention mainly on helping children living in institutional care and other children's facilities, without the love and care of their own parents. C4C helps them successfully integrate into society and overcome fears of stigmatization.

In parallel with this program, called Springboard to Life , C4C launched the Dr. Clown program in 1999. It was the first and original hospital clown program in the Czech Republic. For more than 25 years, our Dr. Clown team has been bringing “laughter therapy” not only to hospitalized and seriously ill children, but also to lonely and abandoned seniors .

In addition to spreading joy and laughter through our hospital clowns, our goal is to develop and implement programs that:

1) help socially disadvantaged children improve their quality of life and
2) provide them with additional educational and vocational opportunities .

These goals are the basis of our very popular ROBIN HOOD and STEPPING BRIDGE TO LIFE programs , which provide a chance for a later successful entry into the labor market and serve as a springboard to a fulfilling adult life .

In addition to these in-house programs, Chance 4 Children is committed to developing and sharing best practices and sustainable solutions with other like-minded organizations.
