Changeworks Connects - Perfect Storm
The Highlands and Islands region is facing a perfect storm of overlapping and growing challenges including fuel poverty, ageing housing stock, climate impacts, and constrained supply chains.
In mid-June, Changeworks will launch an update of the 2023 ‘Perfect Storm’ report, examining how fuel poverty in rural Scotland has changed, which drivers of fuel poverty remain most acute, and what action is needed from the UK and Scottish Governments, local authorities, housing providers and delivery partners.
As partnership working and collaboration across sectors is more important than ever, this event will bring together community organisations, public bodies, funders and delivery partners to:
- Reflect on the scale of fuel poverty and retrofit challenges in the region
- Explore gaps in the advice, retrofit and funding ecosystem
- Identify practical opportunities for collaboration, partnerships and advocacy
- Connect local expertise and knowledge with national insight, policy and delivery
The event will include panel discussions, networking opportunities and lunch. The panel discussion will include thoughts on the report from Bryan Leask, Secretary of RIHAF, the main commissioning organisation of the original 2023 Perfect Storm report.
Please note, spaces are very limited due to venue capacity so please book your place.
