Dismantling barriers and building solutions for Highland retrofit installers

Join us at the launch of the Highland Energy Community Partnership's (HECP) new report Installer Experiences in Remote and Rural Communities on Wednesday 12th August at UHI Inverness from 10am to 3.30pm.

The report looks at the supply chain and explores installer experiences of retrofit delivery in remote and rural communities. Based on interviews with businesses operating in the Highlands, it examines the barriers affecting supply chain activity across the Highlands and Islands. From accreditation and compliance, funding and financial processes, coordination and logistics, to customer trust and delivery capacity and skills, the report highlights practical opportunity areas for change.

The launch event will share the report’s key findings and create space for discussion, networking and practical solution-finding. Alongside presentations and spotlight sessions, there will be opportunities to connect with others attending, explore marketplace stands, and tour the UHI Inverness facilities.

The main focus of the day will be an afternoon round-table solutions exercise, designed as a space for practical solution-finding on the issues raised through the research. Using the key themes from the report, participants will work together to identify actions, priorities and areas for collaboration that can inform a follow-on solutions framework for the supply chain.
