Description

Formally the Doncaster & District Archery Association Indoor Championships, the Chantry D&DAA is an open Portsmouth round for all bow types. Five dozen arrows at 20 yards on 60cm faces, compound archers will shoot at vertical three-spot faces and full GNAS rules apply.

Morning and afternoon sessions are available, archers can shoot in either or both sessions, but if shooting in both, only the morning session score will count for the purpose of awards. Entry fees are £10 per archer, per session, (Juniors £8, per session).

Bosses: - All archers will shoot at foam layer-type bosses, with full backstop netting.

Details & Timing: - Two archers per boss, two details AB, shooting three arrows, with no timing.

Permitted Bow Styles: Recurve, Longbow, Compound & Barebow (no crossbows or flight bows)

Registration: - From 9 AM.

Morning Session Sighters: - 9:45 AM (or once the hall is set up whichever is the latest) 
Afternoon Session Sighters:
- 1:30 PM

Awards: - Trophies and medals will be awarded in relation to the number of entries. Awards will be given for the highest scores across both sessions. Whilst archers are more than welcome to shoot both sessions, only their morning session score will count for the purpose of awards.

  • Recurve Awards - Senior Ladies, Gentlemen, Novice Recurve Archer (archer in his/her first full year of membership), Veteran Recurve Archer (archer over 50 years of age).
  • Seddy’s Other Mug – Archer with the most blues (Open to all bow styles and ages)
  • Compounds/Longbows/Barebow – (Individual awards according to the number of entries on the day)
  • Team Awards - (According to the number of entries on the day)
  • Juniors U18, U16, U14, U12 – (According to the number of entries on the day)


Tournament Notes:

  • None record status, shot to Archery GB rules of shooting and dress regulations will be enforced.
  • Proof of AGB/GNAS membership will be requested at registration.
  • Anyone wishing to take photographs or use a camcorder MUST report to the event organiser before the start of the event.
  • Photographs will be taken at the event for publicity and promotional purposes. Anyone NOT wanting to be photographed during the event should not enter.
  • The target list will be emailed to the ticket buyer before the event.
  • There will be no refunds given to archers who withdraw from the event.
  • Medals will be awarded in relation to the number of entries, results will be posted on the YAA website.
  • Foam layer bosses will be used. Chantry Bowmen cannot be held responsible for damage to arrows passing through the boss or any loss/damage to other equipment whilst at the event.
  • NO SMOKING is allowed in the sports hall, indoor shoes with light-coloured soles are only allowed.
  • Refreshments are available at the main pavilion between 9.15 am and 5 pm (150M flat walk from the sports hall).
  • You may be asked to collect and score arrows for disabled archers, please contact the tournament organiser if you are unwilling to do so.
  • Two single disabled toilets (for use by all) are available within the sports hall, full facilities are in the main pavilion (150M flat walk from the sports hall).
  • There is ample parking alongside the sports hall, with more spaces at the main pavilion. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk; Chantry Bowmen cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.
  • The term 'Novice' applies to recurve archers who have not yet completed their first full year of affiliation to AGB.
  • The term 'Veteran' applies to recurve archers aged 50 or over.
  • The following information may be collected and shared with tournament organisers, scoring systems and other competitors for example target lists and results may be published: First Name, Surname, Gender, Bow style, Date of Birth / Age category, Email, Address, Phone number, Club (and ID), County (and ID), Region (and ID), Round (unless defined by age), Disabled (Y/N), Disability info.
  • Archers with disabilities or special needs should contact the tournament organiser to discuss their requirements at the time of entry, every effort will be made to satisfy their requirements wherever possible.
  • All entrants agree to abide by AGB Rules of shooting, and the event notes detailed above. A Junior's parent/guardian must provide their details in addition to those of the Junior and, in the case of Juniors under 16 yrs, must also notify the event organiser of the senior person who will be taking due care and responsibility for that Junior whilst at the event.
