Y.E.S Bradford- Gambling Related Harms- Children and Young People (under 25 years) Training

Wed 23 Sep 2026 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM BST Online, MS Teams

Gambling related harm impacts many families across the country, including in Bradford. Often harms are identified too late or not at all, and people affected are left feeling alone and that they are to blame. Sadly, hundreds of people take their lives every year because of gambling.

Chapter One prevention programmes provide information, training and support, formed and informed by people with lived experience.

Chapter One is working with Step 2 and The Bridge Project as part of Y.E.S Bradford. Chapter One will be delivering a training programme for professionals who may encounter Children and Young People at risk of/experiencing gambling harm. The training will give participants knowledge, confidence, skills and resources to prevent gambling-related harms and support those affected.

This programme is free and will be delivered in person or online. This is the booking link for online training for professionals working with Children and Young People within the Bradford area.

Please be aware that the training will reference forms of gambling and shows images and audio of gambling related activity. It will also discuss levels of harm up to and including suicide. There are safeguarding procedures in place to ensure delegates safety is paramount.
