Newquay-based singer-songwriter Chard draws on poetry, mythology, Cornish legend and landscape to grapple with nostalgia and repurpose dated ideals of love, romance and masculinity to re-emerge more grateful, courageous and accepting than ever before.

Chard's music dances between acoustic finger-picking and humbucking power, with vulnerable vocals and poetic lyrics that sparkle like sea spray in the evening sun. This style emerged while living in a van and studying popular music at Falmouth University, and continues to evolve in his current home on the north coast.

Musical influences include Jeff Buckley, Thom Yorke, Matt Bellamy and Brandon Boyd.
