Paediatric First Aid Refresher

Two of Charlbury’s resident doctors (and preschool parents) - Dr Zetterström-Healy and Dr Carolyn Barcoe - will lead a hands-on refresher on essential first aid knowledge, ensuring you are more confident assessing and prioritising actions in an emergency situation. Topics and situations to be covered:

• Choking incidents, including practice with a dummy • Swallowing incidents and when to be concerned • Burns and scalds • Head injuries• Cuts and bleeding (compression techniques) • Red flags in infections • Recovery position and more!

The material is recommended for anyone who is around infants, pre-school or primary school-aged children and would benefit from basic first aid knowledge. The event is not affiliated with OFSTED or any regulatory body - no certification will be awarded upon completion.
