Critically acclaimed jazz guitarist and composer Rory Stuart brings his trio, with bassist Massimo Biolcati and drummer Christian McGhee, to the Zinc Bar on Monday, October 23rd.

Rory is known for his inventive rhythmic and harmonic language and the energy of his bands (“His quartet has the energetic flow of the Coltrane quartet” – Coda), as well as the many top musicians who are his former students. Rory has also performed with quite diverse artists, from Brother Jack McDuff and Bill Doggett to Steve Coleman’s early MBASE groups with Geri Allen and Cassandra Wilson to George Garzone, Larry Coryell, and Billy Harper; he is the author of The Rhythm Book series (therhythmbooks.com); and he has directed jazz workshops and performed around the world.
