Every visual response is hand-built and performed live. Rather than relying on pre-programmed effects or generative AI, Hooper-Williams spent years developing his own software, translating the piano's pitch, dynamics, rhythm and texture into light that performs alongside him like a second instrument.

An award-winning concert pianist and former software developer at Shazam, Charlie Hooper-Williams brings together music, technology and visual art in a performance unlike a traditional piano recital.
