Everyone in the investment industry can relate. Butterflies in the stomach and palms sweating as you wait to step into the meeting room or for the video call to start. All your hard work riding on how the next half an hour pans out.

We like to think building relationships and creating sales is a continuous process but the reality is success often comes down to binary moments you need to win.

The first time you meet a client at a conference, it’s vital to be compelling so they want to meet you for a coffee. At that coffee date, you need to build on that curiosity so your target wants to get to know your team. And you must win the most binary moment of all - when you make a formal pitch.

Despite the importance of these ‘do or die’ moments, the asset management industry spends little time equipping you with the messaging, psychology, voice tips and body language to succeed at each of those binary situations.

If you are tired of doing the same thing and getting patchy results, then you need to sign up to our ‘Win that pitch’ gifted session at 6pm on Thursday, 6 November in the Betsey Trotwood

The UK’s leading voice- and body-language coach, Sylvia Cohen, along with Charlotte Moore and Natasha Moore will teach you how to perform better.

In that session you will learn how to build a compelling short elevator pitch to ensure your first contact with a client creates enough curiosity to meet for a coffee.

You be taught how to master your voice and body language so you are a calm and confident performer, no matter the situation. And you’ll know what to do when you are pitching over video or in person.

What to expect and timings

The workshop will last from 6pm to 8pm. Come a bit earlier for a drink and the opportunity to network
