Festive Pattern & Print

Create your own festive wrapping paper, gift tags and Christmas cards using simple lino printing techniques.

Perfect for beginners, this relaxed adults-only workshop will introduce you to the basics of lino carving and repeat pattern design. You'll learn essential carving techniques, tips and tricks, and have the chance to practise before creating your final design.

Rather than working from a single template, you'll be able to choose from three festive theme collections and combine motifs to create a design that's uniquely yours:

🎄 Christmas Treats
Candy canes, wrapped sweets, gingerbread biscuits and festive lollies.

🎅 Santa & Friends
Santa hats, reindeer faces, snowmen and cheeky elf-inspired details.

❄️ Winter Garden
Robins, snowflakes, winter berries and seasonal foliage.

The images shown are examples of possible outcomes. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own unique festive patterns using their chosen motif collection.

Participants will carve a manageable lino block measuring approximately 10 x 14 cm, making it ideal for beginners and helping to avoid hand fatigue. If you prefer to work at a slower pace, you're welcome to reduce the size of your design further.

By the end of the session, everyone will have the opportunity to print at least:

• One sheet of festive wrapping paper
• One gift tag
• One Christmas card

If time allows, you're welcome to continue printing additional pieces.

A full materials list will also be provided, making it easy to continue printing at home should you catch the lino-printing bug!

Arriving straight from work?
Treat yourself to a relaxed and creative evening. An optional warm meal and drink will be available from The Qattery for £10 per person, while those looking for something a little more indulgent can enjoy a festive-themed Afternoon Tea for £15 per person.
