Forest School (Ages 3 - 11yrs)

Join us for a magical two-hour forest school session at Lineover Woods (just off the A40)
The session inside the woodland will include: two hours of open-ended forest play with plenty of resources to help imaginations run wild, tool work, lighting and cooking on a campfire and singing/stories at base camp.

Our aim is to get more young children connecting with and developing a deep love for nature, in an environment that helps them to learn through adventure and play. At Acorn Play we mirror the Forest School ethos and its Scandinavian roots. The holistic approach we take invites children to freely follow their curiosities alongside others, make new discoveries using natural resources, and learn simple bush-craft that builds confidence and self-esteem. The beautiful red cedar trees at base camp offer a sheltered space for our local families to come together.

Directions: Our base camp is inside Lineover Wood, which is just off the A40 (after Dunkertons). Follow the small wooden 'Woodland Trust' signpost up to the car park and look out for the 'Acorn Play This Way' sign. Follow the track and look out for the bunting on the left-hand side, at the entrance to our 'cedar cathedral'.

Once you have signed up to this session please fill out this Medical Document required by the provider. These details will be given straight to the provider and will not be held by CKPC. Medical Form - Google form

This session is organised and funded by Charlton Kings Parish Council, for Families and Children within the Charlton Kings Parish.

Parents/guardians are required to stay with their children. Please ensure the Parent/Guardian listed on the booking form is the one responsible for staying with their child.

All ticket information will be shared with the session/workshop providers and information will be stored by Charlton Kings Parish Council in line with our GDPR/Dara Storage Policy.
