Marie Hirst, Unwind with Plants
Marie has worked in horticulture since 2006; working as a horticulturist for 10 years in a large garden centre in Dublin. In 2016 she moved back to Co. Wicklow to manage a garden centre for over 5 years. She established her business - Unwind with Plants STH practice - in July 2021. She currently provides STH activities and community gardening in her own specially designed garden site as well as STH table-top activities for community groups, hospital units etc. at their own premises.
Alexis Stone, Bloomin' Lovely
Alexis is an Occupational Therapist and Social and Therapeutic Horticultural Practitioner based in Shropshire. In recent years, she has set up her own company called Bloomin' Lovely which delivers horticultural therapy and nature-based occupational therapy programmes to people with health and social care needs. The programmes are a mix of gardening, nature-craft, floristry and basketry. Her current clients are Lingen Davies Cancer Fund charity who fund her to deliver well-being focused programmes for people with a cancer diagnosis, and Shropshire Virtual School where she delivers one-to-one programmes to children in care.
