Four Forty Theatre invite you into their outrageous take on Shakespeare’s most magical comedy. A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows runaway lovers, magical creatures, and a group of very determined actors who find themselves in over their heads. With quick character changes, playful invention, and a sparkle of silliness, Four Forty transform the classic into a joyful night of theatre for audiences of all ages.

Whether you’re a Shakespeare lover or brand new to his plays, this production brims with warmth, laughter, and unexpected surprises. It’s a summer dream brought vividly — and hilariously — to life.

Known for fast-paced character-swapping and fearless reinventions, Four Forty Theatre bring their signature style to A Midsummer Night’s Dream — a riot of desire, enchantment, and theatrical mayhem.

Notes on Performance

  • Doors open at 5pm, so bring a picnic and come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
  • Seating isn’t provided so please make sure to bring your own – chairs, picnics, blankets and any other low-backed accessories are welcome.
  • Please come prepared for the weather.
  • In case of rain, please don’t bring umbrellas as they block sight-lines for other audience members. Ponchos and raincoats are just as fetching, so please wear these instead.
  • This is an outdoors performance and surfaces may be uneven, audience members can park at the end of the drive and walk up to the house and there is accessible parking for audience members by the house – if you have any access related questions ahead of the performance please get in touch
  • You can bring your tickets digitally, on a phone or tablet, so save the trees and please don’t print them.
